Field Day for 28 May 2017

Our Field Day for May 2017 featured an inspection of some hives in our apiary. We observed most of the hives doing well plus hive number 2 is stocked with plenty of honey that needs an extraction soon. The day turned out very well with the assistance from Ian Phillips, Clem and others on the day especially since they led members and guest through the inspections. We featured an open discussion on apiary issues in general, discussed the pros and cons of the flow hive. Our very detailed apiary inspection on several colonies included super and brood inspection.
