Our Doors are Open
We are an active enthusiastic bunch of over 150 people who welcome visitors to the bee museum and teaching facility. Usually our monthly night meetings are about something theoretical or fun, for example genetics, making mead or beeswax products.
We have lots of regular visitors including school kids, the disabled, teenagers, scouts, Probus and other community groups. We demonstrate and educate about pollination, honey and the difficulties faced by bees and their keepers worldwide.
We’ve had visitors from Spain, Turkey, South America, Korea, China, teach beekeeping skills on our one day hands on courses (last 4 years to 240 keen students) and we have fun doing it!
