Field Day 25 June 2017: Honey Extraction

Our Field Day in June 2017 featured an inspection of some hives in our apiary. We had a lot of new faces including parents and children that witnessed a working beehive close up for the first time. We even managed to extract some honey for the kids to take home. It is always great to see the wide eyes of young children so enthusiastic to see the bees and taste the yummy honey. Thanks to all the members that helped on the day and all our visitors.
