2018 July Field Day Propolis & All things Propolis

Sunday 29 July 2018 @ 10:00 am

presented by Matt Reed

Propolis is the sticky resin that bees collect from tree buds, sap flowers, and other botanical sources. Often referred to as bee glue as they use it to seal unwanted holes and glue in the frames. It is the main reason beekeepers need their hive tool.

The many amazing and proven health benefits of this lesser known bee product:

  • Discourage infection
  • Natural Antibiotic
  • Minor burns
  • Dental care
  • Supports immune system
  • Carcinogen Fighter

Matt will demonstrate how to harvest propolis from his propolis trap. We will also cover how to turn propolis into a medicinal solution, Tincture. Recipes and remedies featuring propolis. We welcome all our members who collect and use propolis, to come along and share your knowledge.  Share your recipes and demonstrate any methods that we could all learn from.
